According to the game report, the Spartans, with a record of 10-21 overall and 3-10 in the ESCC, led 4-2 through three innings. However, they were unable to score for the remainder of the game as Marist scored seven unanswered runs to secure the victory. Marian was held scoreless over the final four innings.
