Delan Davis delivered a standout performance with a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line, finishing with a game-high 21 points as Marian Catholic defeated Bowling Green Greenwood, 58-48, on Monday at Murray State University.
According to the game statistics, the Spartans (17-6) led in every quarter, securing a solid win. Zack Sharkey added 16 points for Marian, while Landon Mays contributed 10 points, and Terrell Morton chipped in seven.
The Spartans finished with 22 field goals, including four three-pointers, while Greenwood made 17 field goals and six three-pointers. Marian was exceptional at the free-throw line, hitting 10 of 11 attempts for a .909 percentage, while Greenwood converted eight of ten for an .800 mark.
Marian’s defense also played a key role. They held a significant advantage in fouls, with Greenwood committing 16 fouls compared to Marian’s nine. The win further strengthens Marian’s position as they continue their season with a 17-6 record.
