Marian Catholic emerged victorious in its dual meet against Nazareth Academy on Friday, securing a 46-15 win.
According to the event details, the Spartans achieved six victories by forfeit, collecting essential points in the 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, and 285 weight classes.
Marian’s notable performances included Tristian Cooks’ major decision victory of 18-10 over Emilio Fortiz at 120 pounds. Jeremiah Bolar also contributed significantly by pinning Richie Gulli in 3:01 at the 132-pound category.
Greenwood (150), Dockery (157), Baranski (165), Esparza (175), and Thomas (190) each added six points with forfeit wins. Nash also secured a forfeit victory at heavyweight.
Nazareth Academy had its share of successes as well. Ramos earned a decision of 7-4 over Tankson at 126 pounds. Furlong (138) and Swais (215) each achieved pins for the Roadrunners.
With this victory, Marian Catholic showcased depth and strength, particularly in the upper weight classes.
