The Marian Catholic Boys Golf Team has had an eventful past two weeks as they competed in two separate events.
On Oct. 2nd they competed at the Brother Rice IHSA 2A regional, and competed at the Lemont IHSA 2A Sectional on Oct. 7 to conclude the season.
Dylan Sayre carded an 88 round to tie for 14th overall on Wednesday at the Brother Rice IHSA 2A Regional, as Marian Catholic qualified three golfers for IHSA Lemont Sectional play on Monday.
Andrew Tracy (94) and Jorden Connor also made the grade for the Spartans, who scored 376 as a team to finish fifth overall.
Peyton Stoffregen (99) and Brody Berg (109) rounded out the team scoring.
Jorden Connor shot a 94 round on Monday at the Lemont IHSA 2A Sectional at Wedgewood Golf Course to lead Marian Catholic golfers.
Dylan Sayre added a 98 round and Andrew Tracy shot 101 for the Spartans, who did not have any qualifiers for the IHSA state tournament.
While no one qualified for the state tournament it was an overall good year for the boys, as they did have qualifiers for the regional, and sectionals. Next season should be the same if not better results from the Spartans.
