Tyler Jolly scored 16 points to lead Marian Catholic to a 62-44 victory over Shepard on Monday night.
According to the game’s statistics, the Spartans (7-2) placed four players in double figures. Terrell Morton added 14 points, Delan Davis contributed 13, and Zack Sharkey finished with 12. Marian took control early, jumping out to a 17-7 lead after the first quarter and then sealed the win with a dominant 22-13 run in the third period.
Marian shot 27 of 57 (47.4%) from the field and connected on 6 of 19 (31.6%) from three-point range. Jolly and Sharkey each made two three-pointers, while Davis and Cardan Gordon added one apiece.
Shepard (7-2) struggled offensively, making only 17 of 48 (35.4%) field goals. While they hit 5 of 16 (31.3%) from beyond the arc, they were outrebounded and outpaced by Marian in all phases of the game. Lee-Barnes led Shepard with 10 points, followed by Arrumbide, who scored six.
