Nyla Williams delivered a standout performance with a hat trick to lead Marian Catholic to a 7-1 nonconference victory over Richards on Monday.

According to the match report, Williams scored three goals and added two assists, powering the Spartans (5-14-1) to one of their most decisive wins of the season. Valerie Nelson contributed two goals, while Madison Beachum and Alex Spraggens each added one to round out the scoring for Marian Catholic.

Spraggens also recorded an assist, as did Jimena Galvan and Julie Espinosa, helping fuel a relentless offensive attack that overwhelmed Richards from the start. Marian Catholic maintained control for most of the match, building momentum early and never letting up.

The Spartans’ defense held Richards to just one goal, allowing their offense to shine and secure a comfortable win on home turf.

The victory marks Marian Catholic’s fifth of the season and serves as a confidence boost heading into the final stretch. With just a few matches remaining, the team hopes to build off the dominant showing and finish strong. The Spartans return to action later this week, looking to continue their improved form and carry the momentum into postseason play.
