The Marian Catholic girls Volleyball team showcased an excellent team effort in their victory over Tinley Park, winning the match 25-13, 25-12 to claim the Chicago Washington IHSA 3A Regional title.
Olivia Helfen was a standout player with 12 kills and four blocks, helping to dominate at the net. Sarah Gordon's defensive prowess was also critical, as she recorded 22 digs to keep the opposition at bay.
Kaitlyn Nichols contributed significantly with 20 assists, six digs, and three aces, while Eliza Skubisz and Ava Dabrowski added to the offense and defense with 11 kills and 18 digs, respectively.
The Spartans will look to build on this momentum as they head into the Kankakee Sectional semifinal against Providence Catholic.
